{"id":541,"date":"2016-02-10T11:08:48","date_gmt":"2016-02-10T10:08:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fondationthalie.org\/fr\/?p=541"},"modified":"2021-02-04T16:23:59","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T15:23:59","slug":"lecole-de-marinella-senatore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.fondationthalie.org\/en\/off-site\/production-support\/lecole-de-marinella-senatore\/","title":{"rendered":"L&#8217;\u00e9cole de Marinella Senatore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Location\u00a0: Les Laboratoires d\u2019Aubervilliers<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Co-producers: Regional council \u2013 Dance Residency \/ Les Laboratoires d\u2019Aubervilliers<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> A project supported by the Fonation Thalie in 2016 as part of the Open Call launched in 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Marinella Senatore established\u00a0<em>The School of Narrative Dance\u00a0<\/em>in 2013, a nomadic, free school offering an alternative educational program based on emancipation and self-teaching.\u00a0The project has no fixed site, taking on different forms depending on the spaces it temporarily occupies and the active participation of the public.\u00a0Based on\u00a0<em>The School of Narrative Dance<\/em>, Marinella Senatore creates for Les Laboratoires d\u2019Aubervilliers <em>L\u2019\u00e9cole de Marinella Senatore<\/em>, an open, multidisciplinary and participatory platform which attempts\u00a0\u2013 beyond creating an operetta on Saturday, March 26th 2016 \u2013 to build a community. The school is open to all, offers\u00a0an extensive range of \u201cexperiences\u201d and teaching sessions on literature, oral history, carpentry, art history, craftwork, photography, arithmetic, theatre, dance, and so on and brings together several groups and communities to celebrate the great diversity of skills and talents each participant can bring to a\u00a0project and develop.<\/p>\n<p>Thousands of individuals in over seven countries have already taken part in the school, including political activists, crafts people, non-literate learners, students, homemakers, trade unions, mutual benefit societies, pensioners and teachers. Active participation of the public is key to Marinella Senatore\u2019s art practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project visibility<\/strong>:<br \/>\n<em>L\u2019\u00e9cole de Marinella Senatore<\/em>\u00a0will be opening for a three-month period from Wednesday, February 10th 2016 to Monday, March 7th 2016. Creation of an operetta, with a public showing scheduled at Les Laboratoires d\u2019Aubervilliers on Saturday, March 26th 2016.
