Programme Off de la foire d’Art Brussels<\/strong><\/p>\n With the artists:<\/strong> Curator : Nathalie Guiot<\/p>\n By integrating a private space, the works of the Textile Languages<\/em> exhibition blend with the house\u2019s modernist style. They seem to embody the ideas of German-born American artist Anni Albers (1899-1994), a teacher at the Bauhaus and one of the textile design pioneer figures: If architecture is rigid and permanent by nature, textile is its very opposite<\/em>.\u00a0The exhibition presents works by some fifteen artists from very diverse cultural backgrounds and generations, with a special interest in the Indian emerging scene. Art forms focused on intimacy, memory, repetition and\u00a0collective experience merge\u00a0with practices expressing more a politically versed critical vision of the world, encapsulated by the choice of textile as a creative medium.
