Invited alongside the Boros Collection, the Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Art et d&#8217;Histoire de Gen\u00e8ve and the MAMCO, we unveil a selection of some forty works from the collection, highlighting our commitment to the contemporary scene, to know-how and to practices conscious of the climate transition.<\/p>\n<p>Initiated in 2012, this edition welcomes nearly 80 internationally renowned modern and contemporary art galleries, a programme enriched by the participation of prestigious institutions and private collections, and new initiatives such as artgen\u00e8ve\/sur-mesure, a space dedicated to large-scale works.<\/p>\n<p>Featured artists: <em>Alma Allen, Lynda Benglis, Jean-Baptiste Bernadet, Katinka Bock, Emmanuel Boos, Ulla von Brandenburg, Alex Chechetti, Lubna Chowdhary, Claudia Comte, Edith Dekyndt, Latifa Echkach, Sidival Fila, Roger Herman, Ann Veronica Janssens, Jitish Kallat, Sanam Khatibi, Jasmine Little, Isa Melsheimer, Oscar Murillo, Navid Nuur<\/em>,\u00a0<i>Davaadorj Odonchimeg, Ozioma Onuzilike, Zo\u00e9 Ouvrier, Simone Pheulpin, Eugenio Pipo, Sterling Ruby, Tatiana Trouv\u00e9, Brent Wadden.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>***<br \/>\nART TALK<\/h3>\n<p><em>As part of artgen\u00e8ve&#8217;s programme of talks, we are organizing an off-site conversation of our program &#8220;Creators facing Climate Emergency&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Thursday 25 January, 4pm-5pm<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nGuests: <strong>Claudia Comte<\/strong>, visual artist and <strong>M\u00f3nica Bello<\/strong>, art historian and Head of <a href=\"https:\/\/arts.cern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arts at CERN<\/a>, Geneva.<br \/>\nModerated by <strong>Yann Chateign\u00e9-Tytelman<\/strong>, curator.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>Claudia Comte<\/strong> (b. 1983, Grancy) is a Swiss artist based in Basel, Switzerland. Her practice is guided by a longstanding interest in teasing out the history and memory of biomorphic forms through traditional hand processes, industrial and machine technologies. Comte\u2019s site-specific installations bring together monumental wall paintings and sculptures playfully inspired by organic patterns and morphology, paying testament to the intelligence and transformative capacities of the ecological world.\u00a0Her work has been widely presented, including Solo Houses, Matarran\u0303a (2023), Globus Public Art Project in collaboration with Fondation Beyeler, Basel (2023), Casa Wabi, Mexico 2023, Ko\u0308nig Galerie im KHK Wien (2022), Belgrade Biennale (2021), Museo Nacional Thyssen- Bornemisza, Madrid (2021), Castello di Rivoli, Rome (2019), among others.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>M\u00f3nica Bello <\/strong>is art Historian and Curator. Since 2015, she is Head of Arts at <a href=\"https:\/\/home.cern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CERN<\/a> at the European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva, where she leads and supervises the laboratory\u2019s art strategy and the artistic programs (residencies, art commissions, exhibitions). Curator of <em>Exploring the Unknown<\/em>, the inaugural art exhibition for the <a href=\"https:\/\/visit.cern\/sciencegateway\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CERN Science Gateway<\/a>, the new visitor centre of the Laboratory designed by Renzo Piano, her most recent curated exhibition is Dark Matters for the Science Gallery Melbourne, and the Icelandic Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale with the artist Sigur\u00f0ur Gu\u00f0j\u00f3nsson. Bello works internationally participating in selection committees, advisory boards, and mentorship programs.
