Her work reveals the absurdity of our social norms through her sense of materiality, poetry and her theoretical interest in the standardization of our living spaces and the influence of this phenomenon on our everyday practices. After studying at the \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Arts D\u00e9coratifs in Paris, she developed an artistic practice based on the stages of making simulacra in the industrial sphere. This research also evolved through teaching at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden K\u00fcnste in Stuttgart. Her work has been exhibited in a number of institutions in France and Germany.<\/p>\n<p>By joining the Fondation Thalie&#8217;s residency programme in 2024, the artist aims to undertake theoretical and visual research into stone cardboard. Her project named <i>Mati\u00e8re \u00e0 Effet<\/i> stems from the observation that it is impossible to identify, in a sensitive and intelligible way, the surface of materials produced by our standardized manufacturing methods, and the impact of this phenomenon on our health through industrial production methods that favor a visual approach to matter.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondationthalie.org\/en\/guest-curator\/yann-chateigne-tytelman\/\">Yann Chateign\u00e9 Tytelman<\/a><\/strong>, guest curator for the 2024 residency, will be guided laureates over the course of working sessions.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Victoire Gonzalvez (1997, France) is a French artist, performer and writer.
