In what ways can organic and artificial intelligence influence post-anthropocentric architecture? And how can we define the new aesthetics of a post-human world?<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Claudia Pasquero, architect and co-founder of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ecoLogicStudio<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, works on the transformation of our lifestyles and urban landscapes through solutions inspired by non-human elements<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, such as slime mould<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, microalgae, and artificial <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">intelligence.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This conversation with Nathalie Blanc, director of research at the CNRS and director of the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earth Politics Center<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, will <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">explore<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> their work in favour of an <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018environmental aesthetic\u2019<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">new \u201cpost-human\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> architectures <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that may help us<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to respond to the climate emergency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><br \/>\nThe guests<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Claudia Pasquero<\/strong> is an architect, curator and author operating at the intersection of biology, computation and design. She co-founded with <strong>Marco Poletto <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecologicstudio.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ecoLogicStudio<\/a><\/strong>, an architectural and urban design studio which has built up an international reputation for its innovative work on<strong> \u2018systemic\u2019 design<\/strong>. The London-based studio aims at shaping a definition of <strong>a new ecology of space and behavior<\/strong> combining systemic thinking, computational design, bio-hacking and digital prototyping.<br \/>\nEcoLogicStudio&#8217;s projects have been exhibited internationally, including at the Centre Pompidou, Paris, Design Museum, London, Venice Architecture Biennale, Mori Museum in Tokyo, ZKM Karlsruhe, Saudi Art Biennale in Riyadh, COP26 in Glasgow.<br \/>\nClaudia Pasquero also curated the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecologicstudio.com\/projects\/biotallinn-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2017 Tallinn Architecture Biennale<\/a>, and co-edited the publication <em>Systemic Architecture &#8211; Operating manual for the self-organizing city<\/em> (Routledge editions, 2012). The forthcoming publication\u00a0<i>DeepGreen, bio-design in the age of artificial intelligence, <\/i>will result \u00a0from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecologicstudio.com\/projects\/deep-green\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">collaboration with the UN for planning a new urban green strategy<\/a> with Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nathalie Blanc<\/strong> is Director of Research at the CNRS, Director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/u-paris.fr\/centre-politiques-terre\/en\/homepage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Earth Politics Center<\/a>, and a<strong> pioneer of eco-criticism in France<\/strong>. She has published and coordinated various research programmes, notably on environmental aesthetics, nature in cities and environmental mobilisations. A founding member of the French Environmental Humanities portal, she was also the French delegate for the COST European research network &#8220;Investigating cultural sustainability&#8221; and subsequently the delegate for the COST European programme on new materialisms &#8220;How Matter Matters&#8221; (2016-2019).<br \/>\nShe is also the author of <em>Form, art, and environment: engaging in sustainability<\/em> (Routledge, 2016), an artist and curator working on the theme of ecological fragility.
