{"id":15899,"date":"2021-07-21T15:19:26","date_gmt":"2021-07-21T13:19:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondationthalie.org\/fr\/?p=15899"},"modified":"2021-11-17T15:12:53","modified_gmt":"2021-11-17T14:12:53","slug":"boris-bergmann-monts-analogues-une-ascension-a-travers-loeuvre-de-rene-daumal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.fondationthalie.org\/en\/off-site\/production-support\/boris-bergmann-monts-analogues-une-ascension-a-travers-loeuvre-de-rene-daumal\/","title":{"rendered":"Boris Bergmann, Monts Analogues of Ren\u00e9 Daumal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Foundation supports the<strong>\u00a0publication of Ren\u00e9 Daumal&#8217;s book<\/strong> <strong><em>Les Monts Analogues<\/em><\/strong>, that will be published on 14 October 2021 by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallimard.en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Gallimard<\/strong><\/a>, as part of the <strong>exhibition<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frac-champagneardenne.org\/expositions-a_venir-all-3-1-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>Monts Analogues<\/strong><\/em><\/a> <strong>at the Frac Champagne-Ardenne<\/strong>, co-curated by the author Boris Bergmann and Marie Griffay, director of the Frac, from 16 September to 23 December 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Daumal&#8217;s work &#8211; in particular his latest book, <em>Le<\/em>\u00a0<em>Mont Analogue<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; has inspired both the cinema and the visual arts, photography and dance, literature and poetry.\u00a0Conceived as an expedition, the exhibition celebrates Ren\u00e9 Daumal&#8217;s influence on the artists of his time and upon today&#8217;s ones, taking up the major themes of the book: poetic community, collective and universal faith, elevation to an intimate and secret summit. Carried by Daumal&#8217;s narrative and the intimate readings of the invited artists, the exhibition invites visitors to find within themselves this access to Mont Analogue.\u00a0The exhibition brings together several generations of artists, including <strong>Ellie Antoniou, B\u00e9atrice\u00a0Balcon, Rosa Barba, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Bellenger,\u00a0Simone Boisecq, G\u00e4elle Choisne, Cl\u00e9ment Cogitore, Guillaume\u00a0<\/strong><b>Constantin, Eric Croes,\u00a0Ren\u00e9\u00a0Daumal,\u00a0Simon Demeuter, Quentin Derouet, Kim D\u00e9traux, Luc Dietrich, Julien Discrit, Jimmie Durham, Anne Goujaux, Nancy Graves, Raymond Hains, Manon Harrois, Charles Hasco\u00ebt, Maurice Henry, Tom Ireland, Florence Jung, Kapwani Kiwanga,\u00a0Laura Lamiel, Charles Lopez,\u00a0Nina Beier &amp; Marie Lund, Bibi Manavi, Laurent Montaron, Otobong Nkanga, Philippe Parreno, David Posth-Kohler, David Renaud,\u00a0Karine Rougier, Joseph Sima, Soundwalk Collective with Patti Smith, St\u00e9phanie Solinas, Julien Tiberi, Trevor Yeung.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>To coincide with the exhibition, Gallimard is publishing Ren\u00e9 Daumal&#8217;s <em>Mont Analogue<\/em> for the first time in large illustrated format. He was a resident at the Villa M\u00e9dicis (2018) and will be a resident at the Villa Kujoyama (2022).
