He is an expert of <strong>tropical forest ecology<\/strong>, he directed the renown scientific expeditions related to\u00a0<strong>\u00ab Radeau des Cimes\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>, revealing months of observations, studies and drawings of the world&#8217;s forests in order to <strong>preserve plants&#8217; memory<\/strong>. As ardent defender of the plant world, he is pursuing the daring project to <strong>give life to a primary forest<\/strong> in Western Europe, whose growth and evolution would not be the result of any human intervention. He is the author of several <strong>reference books<\/strong>, including <em>Atlas de botanique po\u00e9tique<\/em> (Arthaud, 2016), <em>Eloge de la plante, pour une nouvelle biologie<\/em> (Le Seuil, 2015), <em>Plaidoyer pour la for\u00eat tropicale<\/em> (Actes Sud, 2014) and <em>Plaidoyer pour l&#8217;arbre<\/em> (Actes Sud, 2005).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sara FAVRIAU<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sara Favriau is\u00a0a visual artist, she deploys a monumental <strong>sculptural work<\/strong> imbued with <strong>poetry<\/strong> but also with <strong>environmental commitment<\/strong>. Art and science are intertwined in her work. Her recent project <strong>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.website-editor.net\/39a16f0a7e0049aeac036aea7eec01d3\/files\/uploaded\/SaraFavriau.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Je vois trouble, longuement un paysage transitoire<\/a>&#8220;<\/strong> with scientists from INRA Avignon, questions and testifies both the <strong>ephemeral artwork<\/strong> and<strong> nature in danger<\/strong>. From this reality is born an enriching metamorphosis questioning our relationship to the world. Sara Favriau is laureate of the <strong>Prix des Amis du Palais de Tokyo 2015<\/strong>. She presents her work at the Palais de Tokyo in 2016, at Ch\u00e2teau de Chaumont in 2017, at Independent Brussels.\u00a0In 2018, she participates in the first Bangkok Biennale <em>Beyond Bliss<\/em> as guest of honour.\u00a0Her work is part of several public collections including the <strong>MAC VAL<\/strong>.
